Crisis Intervention ER or ICU 

In a crisis situation I can be there to make sure the care you are receiving is the BEST and most up to date evidenced- based- practice care available, being given without error. I make sure everything they should be doing is being done and done correctly. I can come in while you are in the hospital and explain everything to you or your family so you understand all your treatment options

Families are busy and financially it can be a stress to take off to be with a loved one that doesn’t live close. Solo Seniors are real and we are here to help when you don't want to burden neighbors or friends. We offer solutions for specific situations- short term or longer term planning when one partner is aging differently than the other to have plans in place before an emergency happens. Don't forget the Sandwich generation helping their children/grandkids and taking care of their parents too. We are your family, when there is no one to call family of your own. We are available 24/7/365 for no extra costs.

Explanation

Healthcare is ever changing and getting more and more complex every year. Health care is ever changing and it’s not getting any easier to navigate. Medical errors occur every day in hospitals, it’s a fact. In times of crisis you can’t be expected to hear everything being said to you. You certainly  don’t know the questions to ask if you just don’t know, right? Doctors, nurses, and health care workers sometimes seem to be speaking another language. I am your eyes and ears and voice, always at your side. I am here at your request. Things happen fast- you need someone to explain it to you at the time. 

 

Mediator

I can help be the mediator and liaison between you and all of your healthcare providers, family and caregivers to facilitate your care and make sure everyone is "on the same page" regarding your care. Sharing what you want with who you want via state of the art technology or paper and pen. Medicare Appeals for rehab or Medicare Advantage plan appeals.

 

Educator

Nurses at the bedside don't have the time to teach and educate like they used to. Discharges happen fast and without much notice and usually on a Friday between 300 - 500 pm. Nurses are required to document more and more, which takes them away from the bedside setting, where you are. I can provide the personal services, education and follow up you deserve to create a successful transition from hospital to home.
